There’s good news for Streets of Rage fans who prefer physical copies of entries. A Streets of Rage 4 physical release is planned. Limited Run Games is handling Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 physical copies, and they will not be limited. On March 20, 2020 at 7am PT/10am ET, preorders will open for both standard and Classic editions, with the former including a decorative, oversized, Genesis-inspired case. A limited edition will also appear, though Limited Run is keeping its details a secret for now.

The standard Streets of Rage 4 physical copy gives people a Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4 version of the game. Each one has a reversible cover with a special design made for Limited Run Games on one side.

Lizardcube shared a bigger, better image of the Streets of Rage 4 Limited Run cover design. It has hints of characters like Axel, Blaze, Adam Hunter, Cherry, and the newly revealed Floyd.

As for the Streets of Rage 4 Classic Edition, its focus is on unique cases. People get the normal Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4 case. They also get a Steelbook case. Finally, there is a large Genesis clam shell case that is oversized, so people can hold both the normal and steelbook cases inside. The Genesis replica case features the Limited Run exclusive cover.
