Dead or Alive 6 Hair Color Changes Cost a Premium Ticket Every Time

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Dead or Alive 6 hair color changes are a surprisingly expensive thing. Back when update 1.20ā€™s DLC was teased, a PlayStation 4-exclusive opportunity to change charactersā€™ hair colors with Premium Tickets was also confirmed. However, now that the feature is actually here, it turns out it can be more costly than people might expect. Every time you alter a character, it costs a Premium Ticket. Hereā€™s how the Dead or Alive 6 hair color options work. Each character has 16 different possible colors now, but a PlayStation 4 owner would have to use one Premium Ticket to change. Letā€™s say someone gave NiCO pink hair. That would cost one Premium Ticket. If they then changed to a different color, like brown, that is a second Premium Ticket. However, as Free Step Dodge reported, going back to pink from brown would cost a third Premium Ticket, even though someone already used a Premium Ticket to change to pink hair previously.

The official website also reveals another possibly alarming detail. All Dead or Alive 6 hair colors are tied to a personā€™s save data, unlike the costumes and Premium Ticket information that is server-side. So while the other purchases you make are remembered even if your save is lost, any new hair colors you purchased will all be gone if you lose your save data.

As pointed out by the official Twitter account, the smallest number of Dead or Alive 6 Premium Tickets someone can get at a time is two. That costs $1.99. Discounts donā€™t kick in unless someone purchases at least 20 at once. (20 tickets cost $19.99, while 50 cost $44.99.)

Dead or Alive 6 is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The ability to change charactersā€™ hair colors is only present in the PlayStation 4 version.
