A special day has arrived. Yakuza 5 Remastered has launched on the PlayStation 4 outside of Japan on February 11, 2020. That means the full Yakuza Remastered Collection is now available. You can pick up the compilation digitally or head to an a store to pick up a physical retail copy for $59.99.
Yakuza Remastered Collection is a compilation of the three PlayStation 3 entries in the series. It started with Yakuza 3, which launched when the collection was announced. Yakuza 4 followed a few months later. Now, everything has been tied up neatly with Yakuza 5’s debut. If you go physical, Yakuza 3 and 4 are on one disc, while Yakuza 5 gets its own disc.
In the case of Yakuza 5, the game has been updated so it has HD graphics and now runs at 60fps instead of 30fps. Its localization has also gotten a second pass, in the hopes of making it more accurate and true to the original Japanese version. If you get a physical copy, you also get a PlayStation 3 case for Yakuza 5, as it originally was only available digitally outside of Japan.
Yakuza Remastered Collection, with Yakuza 3, 4, and 5, is now available on the PlayStation 4. All three games are also available on the PlayStation 3.
