Bandai Namco shared a new trailer for the online action RPG, Blue Protocol, along with details for its next closed beta test in Japan.
First, check out the new trailer:
Blue Protocol combines a world with qualities of an animated feature film, with characteristics of an online game’s multiplayer action.
Bandai Namco held a closed alpha test last year which started with 5,000 applications but eventually extended to 10,000 users.
In the latest video letter from the developers, they announced that this time they’re accepting a total of 50,000 applicants for the closed beta test. Applications for the closed beta go live on February 12, 2020.
As for the closed beta testing period, it is set for sometime in late March. I’ll last a duration of four days. We’ll get more information including the closed beta test dates later.
Blue Protocol has only been announced in Japan so far, but a job listing for a “Localization Director” recently went up so there’s a chance that an English release in the works. However, keep in mind that it could also be for an English version of a Southeast Asia release.
Blue Protocol is in development for PC. Check out some of its classes like the Aegis Fighter, Twin Striker, Blast Archer, and more in our previous report. You can also get a close look at the high-power Spellcaster class here.
