Atlus released a new Persona 5 Scramble trailer that introduces the game in three minutes, featuring Oracle as its narrator.
The trailer starts with a “what is Persona 5 Scramble?” part that basically explains that the game is a completely new action RPG follow-up of Persona 5.
The story starts with the members of the Phantom Thieves getting ready to enjoy the summer. They’re met by a new character named Zenkichi Hasegawa who tips the Phantom Thieves that they’re suspects of a strange incident. In order to clear their name, they must travel to various destinations in Japan to investigate “Jails” while trying to enjoy their vacation when they can.
Unlike Palaces, the Jails get power from collective treasures of the public. When a treasure is taken, it causes those within the district of the Jail to go fanatical. Places we’ll visit in Persona 5 Scramble include Sapporo, Sendai, Okinawa, Kyoto, and Osaka.
The Jails are filled with powerful Shadows that we’ll see for the first time. However, the Phantom Thieves have all kinds of flashy moves to put into action. Check out more in the character trailers below:
