Krome Studios has finally given a release date for the HD version of the 3D platformer Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. It is scheduled to hit Nintendo Switch on March 31, 2020 as a digital only title, followed by the PlayStation 4 version shortly after. Xbox One owners will get to play the game sometime “after that.” A PC version is already available.

The platformer was originally published by Electronic Arts for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox back in 2002, and it sold over one million copies worldwide. The game also spawned three sequels (Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue in 2004, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan in 2005, and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 4 in 2015).

This HD remaster was successfully funded on Kickstarter last year and is currently undergoing lot checks. As well as HD graphics, this remaster boasts Joy-Con six-axis motion control for throwing boomerangs, an improved camera and effects, and a new hardcore mode.

Krome Studios also sneaked a Ty costume into Blade Kitten.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is now available for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Steam. The Nintendo Switch version will arrive in the Americas, Europe, and Australia on March 31, 2020, followed by the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions sometime after.
