People who loved the idea of the extra items in the Animal Crossing Switch bundle being released for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but hated the idea of buying a whole new system, might have an option. The My Nintendo Store in Japan has updated since the announcement, and it provides an alternative. Product listings for both the exclusive Animal Crossing Switch dock and the new Joy-Con set have gone live.
The Animal Crossing dock costs ¥6,578 (~$60) through the My Nintendo Store. There would be no regional issues, if someone would import one. It would be compatible with a system from any region, so long as you have the right AC adapter for your region. Its preorders begin on February 8, 2020. This only gives people the Tom Nook, Timmy, and Tommy dock though, and doesn’t include the HDMI cable or AC adapter.
Likewise, the Animal Crossing Joy-Con set preorders open on February 8, 2020, according to its product listing. The pair costs ¥8,228 (~$76).
In other news regarding the Animal Crossing Switch, Europe has received a trailer for it. This shows an even better look at the back of the system, dock, and Joy-Cons. It also confirms that the European bundle gives people a digital copy of the game.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will appear on March 20, 2020.
