Square Enix didn’t offer any explanation as to why Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road is a part of the game’s moniker. The announcement video also didn’t offer any additional images or new footage. It still has the picture of Xehanort over a chessboard, much like the one people would see in Kingdom Hearts III.

Here’s Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road tweet.

Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road will be a mobile game for Android, Apple iOS, and Amazon devices. It will be free-to-play. Previous mobile games include Kingdom Hearts Union X, which recently received the Wreck-It Ralph world.

Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road will come to Android, Apple iOS, and Amazon devices in Spring 2020.
