A new Sonic jacket will appearing in Japan. Repair Co. will be offering a Sonic Speed Star Sukajan in late April 2020. The normal price on it will be ¥29,480 ($270), though the preorder price is ¥26,999 (~$247).
The Sonic Sukajan will be available in two different colors. One is white with black accents and red and white cuffs and colors, while the other uses blue instead. Both of them have the same embroidered accents and designs on the front and back. The back of each jacket has “Speed Star” across the top, Sonic chasing a golden ring in the middle, and “The Fastest Thing Alive Sonic the Hedgehog” at the bottom. On the front, the Sonic the Hedgehog logo is on the right and Sonic himself is over people’s hearts. It is available in four sizes, which are medium, large, extra large, and XXL and is a unisex design.
As for sukajans themselves, they are a silk jacket with elaborate, embroidered designs on the backs. They are often reversible, sometimes with a different design on the inside. They also tend to have more subtle designs on the front over someone’s heart. They tend to resemble varsity jackets.
This isn’t the only recent video game jacket from Repair Co. The company also put out one inspired by Resident Evil 2. That sukajan is reversible, with one side having the Raccoon City Police Department logo set against a blue background on the back and with the department badge over the heart on the front. The other side is black with the “Made in Heaven” design and logo, similar to the one shown on Claire Redfield’s Resident Evil 2 red jacket, in red against a black blackground and with the Biohazard RE:2 logo on the front. It also cost ¥29,480 ($270).
In other Sonic news, the Sonic the Hedgehog movie will launch in North America on February 14, 2020 and in Japan on March 27, 2020.
