The Western version of Snack World will not support the NFC “Jara” toys and will instead feature an in-game Daily Fortune feature.
Check out the Daily Fortune feature in a video from the game’s official Twitter account:
Sam Witch: Listen up, kiddies! The Western version of #SnackWorld does not support real-world jara and snack toys. Instead, all content that was only available via scanning the NFC toys, is available by having me tell your daily fortune in my canopé. You got that? Kya hah hah… pic.twitter.com/bk1TjsuBWW

The NFC toys that featured Jara and Snack Toys were a big part of Snack World in Japan.
The “Jara” are keychain-like items that are miniature versions of full-sized items you unlock in the game. The collectible items were introduced alongside the first announcement of Snack World for 3DS and smartphones in Japan.
The concept behind the Jara was to make players feel more of a connection between Snack World and the real-world. It has interactive features with 3DS and smartphones of your friends, events, stores, and more.
The toys were essentially a big part of Snack World as Level-5’s cross-media project, but unfortunately, the game didn’t gain much traction like Level-5’s Yo-kai Watch franchise in Japan. It should be interesting to see how the game plays with the new Daily Fortune system as a replacement for the Western version of Snack World.
