The Universal Studios Japan Super Nintendo World won’t be the the only Nintendo themed location. At the NBC Universal Q4 earnings call, the Universal’s Epic Universe Super Nintendo World area was confirmed and given a tentative 2023 launch window. The Epic Universe park will, like Disney World, include a park with four areas, hotels, and places to entertain people on 570 acres reserved for it. [Thanks, Inside Universal!]

This is the second Super Nintendo World to get a launch window. Super Nintendo World is going to have its own place at Universal Studios Osaka, It will have Mario Kart and Yoshi-themed rides at launch, as well as Power-Up Bands that encourage you to interact with attractions around the park. It is scheduled to open around the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which will begin on July 24, 2020.

The other Universal Studios Super Nintendo World parks have been teased quite a bit. For example, the Epic Universe Orlando location will supposedly have a The Legend of Zelda area. The Universal Studios Singapore park on Sentosa Island is also going to have a Super Nintendo World, as is the Universal Studios Hollywood location.

People will have to wait for the Universal’s Epic Universe Super Nintendo World until 2023. In the meantime, Japan’s Super Nintendo World will open in Summer 2020.
