The brief Pokemon Sword and Shield anime miniseries has begun its run. The Pokemon: Twilight Wings first episode has made its debut. Both English and Japanese versions of the six minute peek at life for a person in Galar have appeared.
While the Pokemon: Twilight Wings series is about Galar in general, the primary focus of the first episode is on an original character. John is a child who is in a hospital, watching a match between the current champion, Leon, and Bea, the Fighting Gym Leader only available in Pokemon Sword. After the match is over, he is reminded that Chairman Rose and his assistant, Oleana, will be heading to that very hospital. He’s determined to write a letter that will move Rose to invite him to a match.
The Pokemon: Twilight Wings first episode gives people a chance to see what English voice acting would be like for both Rose and Oleana. (Leon never actually speaks in this installment, though we do see him fight.)
There will be seven Pokemon: Twilight Wings episodes total. They will be released on a monthly basis, so the second one should appear in the beginning of February 2020.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are available for the NIntendo Switch. Pokemon: Twilight Wings can be viewed online or through the Android and Apple iOS Pokemon TV app.
