The livestream showed off an in-depth look at the mechanics behind exploration, such as leveling up to learn a new skill, and ‘Roles’ that you can equip to strengthen the robot. They also show off caretaking for Toriko, and how you’ll need to feed her uncontaminated food to survive, even if that means eating insects. Toriko is monitored in dungeons via the Osewacchi system.

You can check out the livestream archive below. Gameplay starts at the 22:27 mark.

void tRrLM(); //void Terrarium tells the story of an unnamed caretaker robot who finds a young human girl, Toriko. She might be the last of humanity, and the robot and a nearby AI decide to work together to help her survive. However, because of the world’s contamination, it’s impossible for Toriko to survive outside the Terrarium, built to contain people. Thus begins the robot’s adventures into the remains of civilization, with a new purpose.

void tRrLM(); //void Terrarium releases for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on January 23, 2020. The game currently has a demo on both PS Store and Nintendo Switch eShop.
