The Resident Evil 2 remake which released in January was a big success that sold over 4.7 million units worldwide (As of September 2019). It makes complete sense for Capcom to want another shot at it, but considering we’re nearing 2020 they would need to make some kind of announcement soon.

Don’t forget that Capcom is also working another major title related to the Resident Evil series with Project Resistance which is also expected to release next year. If both games end up releasing in 2020 it could be a big year for Resident Evil. You can check out more on Project Resistance’s gameplay in our previous report.
