The Analogue Pocket Is Designed To Play Games From All Game Boy Systems

Earlier this week, video game hardware developer Analogue revealed a new product called the Analogue Pocket, which is a portable handheld capable of playing a multitude of portable system cartridges.

Essentially, the system is able to play 2,780+ Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games, and through adapters, other systems like Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Atari Lynx, and more.

 

Screen-wise, the Analogue Pocket uses a 3.5”, 615 ppi, LTPS LCD, and the screen resolution is 1600×1440. The system also comes with a digital audio workstation called Nanoloop, which includes a synthesizer and sequencer.

 

 

The Analogue Pocket is also set to have a dock that will connect it to the TV via HDMI. In TV mode, 8BitDo controllers can be connected via Bluetooth, as well as wired USB controllers.

Finally, it was announced that the Analogue Pocket will have stereo speakers, USB-C charging, and micro SD. The Analogue Pocket is currently set to be priced at $199.99, and will release in 2020. Analogue Dock pricing will be announced going forward.
