Yakuza: Like a Dragon protagonist Kasuga Ichiban isn’t the type of person to fight alone, and as such works with a variety of people in order to make his way back to the top. Sega released new info today introducing how you can help him grow closer to his allies. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Bonds
Bonds are a new feature that show Kasuga’s relationships with others, and you can strengthen his bonds by fighting together, eating, and playing at Play Spots together. Raising bonds can increase the job classes allies can access, the moves they can use, how often they will perform follow up attacks, and more.
Raising Bonds
Play Spots
Play Spots can be used to deepen bonds, such as watching movies together at the theatre. Choosing a movie they like will increase bonds quicker.
Eating together
When eating together in Yokohama, you can trigger Party Talks with party members if you choose the right combination of food, which can deepen your bonds.
Bond Drama
By deepening bonds with your allies, you can encounter side events that focus on the specific characters. You can learn more about their past, their worries, and by clearing them you can also increase their stats.
Bond Skills
Bond Skills are unlocked when you deepen bonds with allies, and are basically combination attacks. What Bond Skills do can differ greatly, but all of them are very powerful. Use Bond Skills wisely to defeat what lies ahead.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon releases for PlayStation 4 in Japan on January 16, 2020. The game releases in 2020 for North America and Europe. You can find out more about the ‘Human power’ stat system here.
