People will soon have a chance to build their own (not functional) PlayStation or Sega Saturn. Bandai announced model kits based on both at the 2019 All Japan Model Hobby Show. Both will be released in Japan in March 2020. (Thanks, Ami Ami!)

The two kits are a part of a 2/5 line called Best Hit Chronicle. People will be able to use the kits to make small recreations of actual famous products. The SCPH-1000 PlayStation and HST-3200 Sega Saturn will be the first two. Each one will allow you to build the system and one controller, right down to the inner workings of the console and peripheral. Each one will cost ¥2,500 (~$23).

A Bandai Best Hit Chronicle website is now open. It notes that the third model will involve a product from Nissin.
