Google has announced a game subscription service for Android devices to compete with Apple’s Apple Arcade. This week, it will launch the Google Play Pass. This will be a $4.99 per month subscription that gives people access to “hundreds of games and apps.” It will initially be available in the U.S. for people with Android 4.4 and up and Play Store 16.6.25 and up.

Like Apple Arcade, Google Play Pass will have a trial period. It will last 10 days, compared to Apple’s one-month trial. However, Google has also announced a launch promotion for its subscription service. For a limited time, people can subscribe and get the first 12 months for $1.99 per month. (After that first year, the price will go up to $4.99.) It didn’t announce how long this promotion will be in effect.

While all of the games that will be available with Google Play Pass haven’t been announced, the first trailer and initial website do show a few of the titles subscribers will have access to.
