The International 2019, Valve’s Dota 2 tournament, is being held in Shanghai, China between August 20-25, 2019, and a video promoting Steam China during it has unveiled a PC port of a Shiren the Wanderer game. According to a video shared by No More Robots’ Mike Rose, who attended the event, Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate will be heading to PCs. (Thanks, Mike Rose and Resetera!)

Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate appeared twice during the video presentation. At one point, its logo appeared among the other Steam China launch titles. You can see it in Rose’s photo below, in the upper left corner.

Some of its gameplay also appeared. It showed up at the 2:13 second mark of Rose’s video below.

Steam China is coming to China from Valve and Perfect World, its partner. About 40 games, among them the No More Robots’ title Descenders, Dota 2, and apparently Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate, will be on the platform at launch. This version of Steam will be separate and independent from the one that appears worldwide. It does not yet have a launch date. However, the presentation did note that Steam China games will appear on Steam worldwide.

Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate is the fifth and most recent entry in the series. It appeared on the Nintendo DS in Japan in 2010. Five years later, it headed to the PlayStation Vita. The PlayStation Vita version eventuall appeared worldwide in 2016, with Aksys Games publishing the Chunsoft title in other regions. (Spike Chunsoft published it in Japan.)
