Final Fantasy VIII Remastered has a release date. On September 3, 2019, people will be able to pick up a copy of the game for their Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This will have updated graphics and textures, the ability to speed up gameplay by three times, there will be a battle assist, and you could turn off enemy encounters.

The PlayStation Blog has also revealed a PlayStation Store preorder incentive. If people buy a digital copy there, they will get a free static Final Fantasy VIII Remastered theme for their system.

There is also a new Final Fantasy VIII Remastered trailer to go along with the release date. It looks at some of the updated CGs, as well as offers some in-battle footage.

Final Fantasy VIII originally appeared on the PlayStation, with a Windows release following in 2000. It will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 3, 2019.
