The latest game from thatgamecompany has finally made its debut. People can now get Sky: Children of the Light on Apple iOS devices. Like the developer’s previous game, Journey, there is a heavy emphasis on exploring the world, interacting with others, and gliding. It is free-to-play and available now on iTunes.

Sky: Children of the Light is a very minimalistic game that mostly hides its UI, unless someone clicks in specific areas to pull up the screenshot, expression, and shop menus. Your goal is to collect spirits to restore constellations and restore light, while also getting to share that light with others, give each other gifts, increase your ability to fly for longer and greater distances, and customize your avatar. While there are places where you can leave notes for people or talk, it relies heavily on a chime-like radar system to find people you recently met or locations and an expression system where spirits teach you new actions.

Here’s a Sky: Children of the Light trailer released in June 2019 that shows some of the different areas and how people can work together.
