I don’t know why D3 didn’t bring the Oneechanbara R out during the media days of Tokyo Game Show. I’ve been curious about the mechanics ever since I caught it. This tidbit in Famitsu pretty much confirms the concept I imagined. You chop up zombies by swinging the remote as sword and the nunchuck controls the second blade. The Oneechanbara R also has a counter system where you have to press a specific button to do a flashy slow motion counter.

Notice that the Oneechanbara R does not have the Simple label in front of it. The series has evolved from a budget game PS2 to a staple franchise in D3’s pocket.
