People ready to enter a version of Hyrule where everyone knows how to keep to the beat won’t have to wait too long. Nintendo’s Japanese Indie World presentation, which was held on May 31, 2019, narrowed down the Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer Featuring the Legend of Zelda release date. The segment talking about it said it will appear on the Nintendo Switch eShop in June 2019.
This was accompanied by new Cadence of Hyrule footage. The Indie World presentation spent a minute looking at what it looks like to play as Link in the game. We were able to see him use different weapons, like a sword, spear, and bow and arrow. It also showed what Zelda looks like as a playable character, and even had a peek at a boss Link and Zelda were fighting together.
Here’s the Nintendo Indie World 2019 trailer. Cadence of Hyrule begins at the 6:57 mark.
As a reminder, Cadence of Hyrule is a Brace Yourself Games title that plays like Crypt of the Necrodancer and involves Cadence, Link, and Zelda. It is set in Hyrule, is filled with familiar enemies and elements, includes 25 songs from the series, and tasks people with exploring the overworld and dungeons while keeping in time with the beat. Up to two people can play together.
Cadence of Hyrule will be released in June 2019.
