Konami Sees Fifth Straight Year Of Profit Growth Thanks To Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, PES 2019, More

Konami released its financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2019, showing another year of operating profit increase for the fifth straight year with a 9.6% total increase year-over-year.

It’s another year in the plus for Konami, as it saw both total revenue and operating profit exceed those for the previous fiscal year. Most of it came from the company’s Digital Entertainment business segment, which saw strong sales from titles such as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links which celebrates its second anniversary since release and has recently surpassed a whopping 90 million downloads.

 

Other big titles include Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 and Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu that saw strong performances in the fiscal year 2019. Professional Baseball Spirits Ace also performed well in Japan as it did in its third quarter.
