There’s been some recent news in Japan regarding the arrest of actor Pierre Taki, who voiced captain Kyohei Hamura in Judgment, and Sega announced that it has taken actions to put a stop in the game’s shipments.
Pierre Taki is the voice behind Kyohei Hamura in Judgment, but he’s also a member of the pop duo Denki Groove. Earlier this week, the 51-year-old Masanori Taki admitted to using cocaine and was arrested after testing positive to the drug.
In a statement from Sega, the company says it received information regarding the arrest of Taki, and are currently confirming the facts. Until further notice, Sega has decided to to put a stop in shipments and digital sales for Judgment, and will refrain from further updating the game’s official website.
Sega apologizes for inconveniences they may have caused, and will announce more details in the future regarding the situation and their decision.
Judgment is available in Japan for PlayStation 4. The game releases in North America and Europe on June 25, 2019. Sega has yet to share any information regarding any changes to the Western shipment of the game.
