Sega Ages Alex Kidd in Miracle World was previously listed as “in the near future” for its release, and that’ll be in a few more days in Japan as Sega announced its Japanese release date of February 21, 2019.
As previously detailed, Sega Ages Alex Kidd in Miracle World has an Original Mode that lets you play as originally intended, but it also includes an Ages Mode that plays the BGMs in the game through an FM sound unit.
The game on Switch also offers new options for those who aren’t great at platformers, such as an easier continue option when you get a Game Over, and a Helper feature that lets you rewind five seconds.
In addition to new event illustrations to check out before stages, there are also BGM tracks that were recorded but went unused in the original game that have been added.
Sega Ages Alex Kidd in Miracle World releases for Nintendo Switch in Japan on February 21, 2019. The game originally released for the Master System in Japan in November 1986.
