Nihon Falcom’s bundles a soundtrack and fan extras on a UMD

Most companies happily giveaway free PSP wallpapers, but not Nihon Falcom! If you want to skin your PSP with official Sora no Kiseki themes you have to purchase the Sora no Kiseki Material Collection UMD disc which is a soundtrack and media collection. Besides the wallpapers you can listen to eight hours of UMD audio spread over 147 songs and watch the game’s movies. The special disc is priced at 3,990 yen ($34), pricey for a bonus disc right? Also going on sale on December 20 is a multi-disc set with the two Sora no Kiseki games and the Material Collection for 11,970 yen ($101).

While this is something I imagine other companies would give out for free, Nihon Falcom has to get some credit (or ire from Legends of Heroes fans?) for thinking of a new way to use the UMD disc that other companies have yet to explore.
