Kung-Fu Rider Slides Into Stores With 27 Stages

Kung Fu Rider, previously called Slider at GDC, is one of the few PlayStation Move launch titles developed by Sony’s Japan studio. The concept of Kung Fu Rider is as simple as it is wacky. You, a private eye named Toby, and Karin, his assistant, are escaping from gangsters by riding an office chair through the streets of Hong Kong.

Players tilt the PlayStation Move controller to make the chair turn and flick it to jump.

 

While this sounds like it could be a downloadable game, Kung Fu Rider will be a retail title in North America. Sony’s Japan studio created six areas with 27 courses to slide on. Oh, and there will be more things to ride than office chairs. Toby and Karin are riding other “vehicles” in these screenshots.
