Sierra Online has a broad list of Xbox Live Arcade games that covers everything from dancing rabbit puzzle games to multiplayer dungeon crawlers. The quick run down is:
In November, Switchball moves from PCs to the 360.
They have a new shmup in development called Aces of the Galaxy, which is set to come out this winter.
Boogie Bunnies is the other new title. It takes its inspiration from other match-three puzzle games and the goal is to match up the rabbits before they reach the end of the screen. Like Aces of the Galaxy, Boogie Bunnies is also scheduled to come out this winter.
Commanders: Attack of the Genos is coming out this fall and it’s a tactics game!
Also coming out this fall is Arkadian Warriors is a dungeon hack ‘n slash game with online play and random dungeons.
Battlestar Galatica is coming out this fall. The PC version supports 16 players online. Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 version only has room for eight Cylon pilots at one time.
Screenshots and extended descriptions are past the break.
Aces of the Galaxy is an old-school arcade thrill-ride! Set in a stunning space environment, Aces of the Galaxy thrusts the user into epic space battles in the ultimate struggle to survive. Players take control of the gun turret on an AI-driven spaceship aiming the reticule to vaporize waves of enemies in this third person retro-arcade shooter. The game features dramatic graphical effects, including an intense bullet-time feature that slows down hordes of enemies and visually dazzling warp zones that propel players through space at the speed of light. Players can take on a mass of enemies in a single-player game or team up with a buddy in the optional co-operative multiplayer mode. Aces of the Galaxy will be available for Windows PC and Xbox Live Arcade this winter.
Boogie Bunnies is the next evolution in match-three puzzle games! In Boogie Bunnies, players match bunnies from three different sides – left, right and from the bottom to save the bunnies from marching to the bottom of the screen where dangerous pitfalls await. Bunny busters can score chain combinations to trigger creative dance moves and watch the bunnies get their groove on. Players will travel with the bunnies to new exotic locations as they adopt the local culture and might even discover new bunnies along the way – from designer sunglass wearing bunnies to completely outfitted diva bunnies. Puzzle game fans can get the party started on Windows PC and Xbox Live Arcade this winter.
In the hack-n-slash dungeon crawler, Arkadian Warriors (formerly called Artemis Warriors), players fight with one of three powerful warriors to the ultimate confrontation with Gorgon herself. Spanning treacherous dungeons consisting of countless enemies, heinous and powerful bosses, players will embark on a trek of unimaginable proportions. Players choose from three mighty warriors – Soldier, Archer and Sorceress. Each warrior has a unique leveling-up ability allowing them to transform into their own iconic alter ego – Phoenix, Lion or Dragon – with increased power to crush their enemies. Featuring a diverse dungeon generator, players will never battle enemies in the same dungeon twice. In Arkadian Warriors, players can fight in epic solo battles or join forces with a friend in the intense multiplayer co-operative mode – online over Xbox LIVE or locally on the same system. Developed by the creators of the award-winning Assault Heroes, Arkadian Warriors will crawl to Windows PC and Xbox Live Arcade this fall.
Commanders: Attack of the Genos (formally called Commanders: Attack!) is a gripping turn-based tactical game with a combination of strategic troop placement and entertaining head-to-head warfare. Featuring a 1930’s art deco look and feel, players will use missile launchers, bombers and infantry to amputate the enemies’ defenses and conquer the land. Players can choose to challenge the computer AI in a 15-mission campaign across three different landscapes or battle against three friends either locally or online in four intense multiplayer modes – Versus, Team Play, Player vs. CPU or same-system Skirmish. Commanders: Attack of the Genos will be available for Windows PC and Xbox Live Arcade this fall.
Assault Heroes puts players in the role of the only surviving member of an elite special-forces unit searching for a secret underground laboratory. Whether in a heavily armed 4X4, a maneuverable speedboat or on foot, players must blast their way through enemy-infested territory while being assaulted by waves of formidable enemies with unrelenting attacks. Currently available for Xbox Live Arcade, Assault Heroes will be available on Windows PC for download on popular online gaming portals and on retail shelves for $19.99 on Oct. 23rd.
Coming to Xbox Live Arcade in November and currently available for Windows PC on popular online gaming portals, Switchball challenges players to control an ever-changing ball along a narrow and challenging course suspended in midair. A polymorphous ball exhibits different physical characteristics as it changes form as either a standard Marbleball, a feather-light Airball, an electrically charged Powerball or a dense and powerful Metalball. Players will have to solve their way through challenging levels packed with tricky obstacles, traps and mazes. With beautifully rendered 3D environments including Skyworld, Iceworld, Caveworld, Cloudworld and Lavaworld, Switchball features an advanced physics engine, allowing players to interact with objects just as they would in the real world.
Inspired by the hit television series, Battlestar Galactica™, airing on the SCI FI Channel, Battlestar Galactica is an action-packed top-down space combat game set in the universe of the hugely popular sci-fi television show. Players can sign up to either defend the Galactica, or play as the ruthless Cylons as they seek to remove the human race from existence. Battlestar Galactica allows players to participate in enormous multiplayer space battles – up to 16 players on PC or 8 on Xbox Live Arcade – or play through the intense single-player campaign based on memorable episodes from the TV series. The 10 show-based missions include storylines from the riveting first episode of the continuing series, “33,” which finds the fleet in need of protection as it prepares to jump every 33 minutes; “Scar,” the season two standout that pit the Galactica pilots against a particularly vindictive Cylon Raider; the pivotal “Resurrection Ship,” in which a major asset of the Cylons is discovered and attacked; and the 2007 Emmy Award-winning episode, “Exodus.” Battlestar Galactica is set to land on Windows PC and Xbox Live Arcade this fall.
