Marvel’s Spider-Man Fantastic Four costumes have arrived. Patch 1.14 has been released for the game, bringing with it the Bombastic Bag-Man and a Future Foundation Suit for Peter Parker. Both outfits reference the time he briefly spent with the Fantastic Four.

The PlayStation Blog offered backstory on both outfits from Christos Gage, who was a writer on Marvel’s Spider-Man and wrote storylines for The Amazing Spider-Man and The Superior Spider-Man. Bombastic Bag-Man is from Amazing Spider-Man #258, as during that storyline Spider-Man had the Fantastic Four get the Venom symbiote suit off of him and needed to temporarily put on a Fantastic Four costume and paper bag to conceal himself. The Future Foundation suit is from the period of time where the Fantastic Four were going by that name, wore black and white suits, and Spider-Man temporarily joined them.
