Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country have been updated today as part of Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s first year anniversary. The update adds a new outfit for Mythra that invokes her look in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mythra was given a different costume with tights and a dress that covered up her chest. This was likely done to help lower Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s rating. For comparison, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U was rated E10+ by the ESRB, while Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was rated T. However, with this update, people who enjoy Mythra’s look in Smash Ultimate can also enjoy it in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as well.
You can get the outfit in both the main game and the Torna DLC. In the main game, you can receive the outfit from a Nopon named Brobro near the Salvage Deck any time past chapter 3, while in Torna, the outfit is given by a Nopon at the Feltley camp instead.
Apart from Mythra’s outfit, Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country’s soundtrack is set to be released digitally beginning on December 14, 2018. There will be 11 tracks total, which you can buy separately or as an album, and the soundtrack will be released on iTunes, mora, RecoChoku, animelo mix, Amazon, and Google Play Music.
Finally, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 character designer Masatsugu Saito has drawn an illustration to commemorate the game’s first anniversary:
