A release date for Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Comrades, the standalone version of the expansion, will arrive on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 12, 2018 in North America and on December 13, 2018 in Europe and Japan. This was revealed during the Second Anniversary Stream and later via Twitter. However, it seems the PC version of this standalone expansion has been canceled.

 

Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Comrades is the standalone version of the Final Fantasy XV add-on of the same name. The broadcast noted that it will have an “additional 10 new bosses, costumes, and weapons.” The stream noted it will cost 926 yen. Once it is released, the Final Fantasy XV Comrades Expansion will no longer will be sold or work, and everyone who purchased that DLC will get the standalone game for free. However, people who did have that add-on will still be able to use Avatar Creation and Photo Viewing.

 

As for the PC version of Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Comrades, the following statement appeared during the stream.

Current Version: “Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades Will Continue

Additional 10 Bosses/Costumes/Weapons will be scheduled to be included in the free update

 

Due to the Final Fantasy XV Expansion DLC sales ending, the broadcast noted that the game’s season pass price and content will change. The new price noted was 1,389 yen.
