Square Enix announced during its Dragon Quest Monsters series’ 20th anniversary live stream that Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D is headed to smartphones as Terry’s Wonderland SP. [Thanks, Hachima.]
Update: Here’s its first trailer:
The game is a smartphone version of Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D, the 3DS remake of 1998 Game Boy title, Dragon Quest Monsters, or Dragon Warrior Monsters. It comes with several new elements that make it easier to play for smartphones, dozens of new monsters, new skills, and a new area called El Dorado has been added. While it won’t have a real-time versus mode, it will have an asynchronous battle of some sort.
It is said to take about a month to clear it if you put some work into it. The game will be priced 2,400 yen but it will be discounted to 1,600 yen until November 13 to celebrate its release.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland SP launches in for iOS and Android in Japan tomorrow, November 7, 2018. In case you missed it, a brand-new Dragon Quest Monsters game for consoles was also announced during the live stream.
