The North American and European Sega Ages Phantasy Star release date has been revealed. During a Game Watch interview with members of the game’s development team, Director Rieko Kodama announced it should appear overseas on November 15, 2018. She noted the release date was staggered, as this is about two weeks after the game’s Japanese debut.
After Kodama announced the worldwide release date, Producer Kagasei Shimomura noted that he wanted to have a monthly schedule for release dates, to set the Sega Ages pace. While the target was initially a September 20, 2018 release date, the game needed to be delayed.
In addition, here is the latest Sega Ages Phantasy Star trailer.
As an aside, both Kodama and Shimomura have worked on Phantasy Star before. Kodama was the main artist for the original game, worked on the art for Phantasy Star II, and directed Phantasy Star IV. Meanwhile, Shimomura worked on the Sega Ages 2500: Vol. 32 Phantasy Star: Complete Collection as a producer.
Sega Ages Phantasy Star is immediately available via the Nintendo eShop in Japan and will make its North American and European debut on November 15, 2018.
