The Last Remnant Remastered Announced For PS4 With New Elements And New Engine

Square Enix announced that their 2008 RPG The Last Remnant is coming back with The Last Remnant Remastered as a digital title on PlayStation 4 this December in Japan.

The Last Remnant released in 2008 for Xbox 360 followed by a PC port in 2009. It’ll keep the features you’re familiar with intact but will also add new elements (from the PC port) as well as improved resolution and graphics to go with a game engine change.

 

We’ll see it make an appearance at Tokyo Game Show 2018 but for those of you not able to attend there will be a special live stream from the Square Enix booth on September 22 at 11:20am JST on YouTube and NicoNico Live featuring the director of the original The Last Remnant, Hiroshi Takai, as well as art producer Yusuke Naora, and Koichiro Sakamoto who is directing the remaster with project assistant Asami Katata.

The Last Remnant Remastered releases for PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 6, 2018. It’ll be priced at 3,980 yen plus tax. Last month Square Enix announced that The Last Remnant will be removed from storefronts in September.
