Back at Anime Expo 2018, Seven Seas Entertainment revealed it would be localizing the five-volume Dragon Quest Monsters+ manga series. Now, thanks to an Amazon product listing, we have a better idea of when this comic could make its debut. The early 2019 release window might be narrowed down to January 8, 2019.
Here is the official product description for the first volume of Dragon Quest Monsters+, by Mine Yoshizaki.
“Young Kurio dreams of becoming a hero, and he’s about to get his chance–when he’s pulled into another world! In Kurio’s new surroundings, fantasy creatures are running out of control after the great Monster Master disappeared. Can Kurio become the new Monster Master and save the world?”
As a reminder, Yoshizaki also created Sgt. Frog, did character designs for Otomedius, and created he Angol Fear bonus character for Soulcalibur IV.
The last traditional Dragon Quest Monsters game to get a worldwide release is Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 for the Nintendo DS. Most recently, Japan received Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 on the Nintendo 3DS.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age will come to the PlayStation 4 and PC in North America and Europe on September 4, 2018. It is immediately available in Japan on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS.
