Like many Japanese studios, Tecmo Koei is focusing on consumers outside of their home country. A forward looking statement in their financial report says the publisher plans on strengthening development of games for overseas markets.

Even before they merged, Tecmo and Koei had plans for Western domination. Koei opened Koei Canada, the studio behind Fatal Inertia and Prey the Stars. Tecmo purchased the rights to Fret Nice and revived Tecmo Bowl.
