PlayStation Blog recently introduced the Hori Mini Wired Gamepad, a PlayStation 4 controller that is cheaper and 40% smaller compared to the original Dualshock 4 controller.
The controller is aimed at providing a smaller controller for children who may want to play alongside parents. While the Gamepad lacks a touch pad, certain inputs can be simulated using the left or right sticks.
While the Gamepad includes a 10ft cable, it lacks the light bar, stereo headset jack, vibration and motion sensing, and is not compatible with PSVR games. However, these come at the exchange of the pricing, which is $29.99 USD (MSRP).

The Hori Mini Wired Gamepad will be released during the holiday season.
