Death Coming gives players a puzzling sandbox made of various workplaces, cities, and parks, tasking them with figuring out how to use the simple environments in lethal ways to take out all of the people wandering around them.

Each area of Death Coming offers many different objects players can interact with that they can use to lethal ends. They can click on a sign on an ice cream stand to knock it over, killing anyone seeking a frozen treat. They can switch the street lights to get traffic to stop for a patient pedestrian, only to switch it to green as they’re walking. Each environment is loaded with items like this, and it is only up to the player how they feel they should best kill everyone around.

There are some things that will slow the player’s killing spree down. The NPCs get frightened if they witness a death, which causes a rapid change in their normal behaviors (which players can usually study to see where they are vulnerable). Angelic beings also wish to keep people alive, and will try to undermine your lethal traps if they witness you fiddling with something.
