Square Enix held a special Active Time Report live stream session at TGS 2017, where they shared more on Final Fantasy XV and a bit on their plan to continue its development into next year. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]
The continuation of the development comes from the strong de mand of fans asking for Final Fantasy XV to continue further and its story further enriched. Episode Ignis was expected to be the last content for the game, but Square Enix has decided to keep adding content to the game into next year.
The development theme is to properly fill any holes left in the story and to make Final Fantasy XV complete. Director Hajime Tabata said “It won’t only be about digging further into characters through additional episodes, but we must show more for the setting of the world that is its base in order to better depict how its characters are living.
Tabata put a lot of emphasis on that last part and said he’s putting together a group to make it happen.
Final Fantasy XV is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’ll arrive on PC next year.
