Fire Emblem Heroes received its major 1.7.0 update and with it comes a new Ally Support feature for pairing up characters and a Summoner Support for picking a favorite Hero to buff.
With Ally Support, you can deepen bonds between Heroes by setting pairs in the Advanced Growth menu and then deploying them into a battle with enemies level 35 or higher to build their Support Rank that goes from C to S.
When two Heroes support each other are nearby during battle, they’ll receive a stat boost that varies in rank and also positioning with different buffs for adjacent placements and another for when they are separated by one space.
The above chart gives us a look at how the Support bonuses scale. You can choose to stick with relationships between Heroes from the series or build relationships between Heroes that work together on the battlefield. Keep in mind that Ally Support pairings can be changed at any time, but switching will cause the Support Rank to reset to C. Each Hero can have only one active support pairing, and multiple identical versions of a Hero cannot each have separate support pairings.
Summoner Support is also added in the 1.7.0 update. This allows you to expand your favorite Hero’s abilities with a stat boost. You can create a Summoner Support bond with only one Hero. By deploying the Hero into a battle with enemies of level 35 or higher, you can build the Support Rank from C to S.
Similar to the Ally Support, the Summoner Support adds an extra boost to the favorite Hero.
Inherit Skill got a new search function that allows you to easily search for Heroes with specific skills. The filter lets you set the skill you want to find, and the Hero that can learn the skill will be shown with a check mark.
Other Changes in 1.7.0:
- In Arena Assault, you can now get a score for defending, just like in the normal Arena. This change will be reflected for the season beginning September 12, 2017.
- In the frame at the top of the screen when selecting a unit, the number of the unit is now displayed. Tap the number to display the unit name.
- In Settings, Map: No Animation and Auto: No Animation options have been added.
Fire Emblem Heroes is available for iOS and Android.
