Square Enix and director Hajime Tabata is at Gamescom 2017, where they revealed that the Final Fantasy XV team is currently thinking about making something on the Nintendo Switch.
The information comes from a recent Twitch stream featuring Hajime Tabata. When asked “what other things do you have planned for the future” Square Enix responded by saying they can’t share too many details but they want to do as much as they can with the franchise.
They followed with a tease saying “there’s another certain console out there people may be thinking of, sounds a little bit like you guys, your name ‘Twitch,’ I think we’ll just leave it there.”
Hajime Tabata also added “everyone on the Final Fantasy XV team loves this console that has a name that sounds like Twitch, and they’re thinking about something for that right now.”
With Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition announced for PC and Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition announced for smartphones, it seemed like it was only a matter of time until we saw something Final Fantasy XV-related on Nintendo’s new console.
