Forever Entertainment, Sushee, and the Square Enix Collective are bringing back Fear Effect. The PlayStation game is being remade and brought to the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC as Fear Effect Reinvented. It has a tentative 2018 release window and has received its first trailer at Gamescom 2017.

In Fear Effect, players follow Hana Tsu-Vachel as she and her partners, Royce Glas and Jacob DeCourt, are attempting to find a missing girl named Wee Ming before her father does, so they can then hold her for ransom. Things get… complicated, to say the least. The remake will have improved graphics and other adjustments.

Fear Effect was originally a Kronos Digital Entertainment game published by Eidos Interactive for the PlayStation in 2000.
