Despite appearing during Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference, Crackdown 3 has been hit with another delay. It will no longer come to the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs on November 7, 2017. Its new release window is Spring 2018.

Shannon Loftis, the General Manager of Microsoft Studios Publishing, announced the delay to Polygon. The reason being, Microsoft wants to be sure Reagent Games, Sumo Digital, and Cloudgine, the developers, have enough time to work on the campaign, cooperative multiplayer, and Wrecking Zone competitive multiplayer. The goal is to make the final product as perfect as possible. She later reiterated this sentiment on Twitter.

Crackdown 3 was originally announced at E3 2014. A 2016 launch window was announced during Gamescom 2015. However, it was delayed in June 2016 and set for 2017. The now-defunct November 7, 2017 launch date was announced at E3 2017.

Crackdown 3 is in development for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
