Xseed Games announced in a live stream today that they’re bringing a new port of Ys Seven to PC via Steam sometime this summer.
We got a first look at Ys Seven’s new port with some footage that was shown during the live stream. This port won’t be the same one Joyoland did for PC in 2012 for China, and will have some localization adjustments from Xseed, as well as some new visual improvements as part of the new contract. The game will also run at 60FPS in the Xseed port.
Ys Seven originally released in Japan in September 2009 on PSP, and it saw a Western release on the handheld back in August 2010 in North America and December 2010 in Europe. More information on the new PC port by Xseed will be available later.
