Hyperkin unveiled a new system at E3 2017. The Retron 77 is a retro console that allows people to play Atari 2600 cartridges. It presents them on the screen in upscaled 1080p HD audio and video, with 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios. (Thanks Elliot Thomas, from the AtariAge Facebook group!)

The Retron 77 has a pseudo-wood-grain appearance, just like the original Atari 2600. It will work with USB controllers or the ones from the original console, if you have them. There are two ports for classic controllers. The console’s box says that it also has an on-board game select option and will allow people to make save states of games.

Hyperkin’s Retron 77 does not yet have a price or release date.
