Watch Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia’s Dramatic Opening Animation

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, the upcoming full remake of the 1992 tactical RPG Fire Emblem Gaiden, released today in Japan and Nintendo shared its opening animation.

Fire Emblem Echoes focuses more on telling its story along with its traditional gameplay style from the series with “Classic Mode” with perma-deaths for the veteran fans and “Casual Mode” without perma-deaths for newcomers.

Additionally, the game adds new features such as the “Mila’s Gear” system that gives you chances to rewind time in battle to rethink your moves.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is now available in Japan for Nintendo 3DS. The game launches globally on May 19, 2017.
