The first Resident Evil 7 add-on has been released on the PlayStation 4. Banned Footage Vol. 1 gives us a new adventure to explore with Ethan and two new scenarios starring Clancy, the cameraman for the in-game TV show Sewer Gators. For $9.99/€9.99, people can explore the two Clancy scenarios and Ethan game mode.
Resident Evil 7’s Banned Footage Vol. 1 Clancy segments are set before the events of the game. In Bedroom, Marguerite Baker has locked Clancy in a bedroom and players must help him figure out how to leave the room without her finding out. Nightmare is a survival scenario where hordes of enemies are approaching, leaving Clancy to create weapons and try to hold them off until morning.
The new mode, Ethan Must Die, is based on an entirely new event and requires people to help him survive. It’s designed to be a slightly tougher experience. This mode isn’t compatible with the PlayStation VR headset.
More details were also revealed about Banned Footage Vol. 2, the second DLC pack. It will include “21”, where you play “21” with Lucas Baker, “Daughters,” where you meet the Bakers before Resident Evil 7’s events, and Jack’s 55th Birthday, where you have to give daddy birthday treats before time runs out. The $14.99/€14.99 add-on will come to the PlayStation 4 on February 14, 2017, followed by an Xbox One and PC release on February 21, 2017.
