A weak, lowly imp wants to become a final boss, but to do so, it’ll need to possess stronger and stronger enemies, slowly building up the power it needs in procedurally-generated dungeon crawler Midboss.

Midboss puts players in a brand new dungeon each time they play, each filled with monsters for the players to possess. As they down enemies, they get the chance to take over those monsters, gaining control of them and access to the unique abilities and strengths their possessed creature has. The game offers over fifty abilities, so there will be a large variety of powers available through possession.

Monsters won’t be the only trouble players run into as they delve deeper. Traps can spring at any moment, and lot can be cursed, making every item a risk. Randomized potions will also make taking a drink a gamble, as they may heal during one run and harm the player during the next. With death deleting the player’s save and sending them back to the beginning, these promise to create a lot of tension.
