The Samurai Shodown news we mentioned two weeks ago is now official. Xseed’s first Xbox 360 game will be Samurai Shodown Sen and it’s slated for spring.
Developed by Valhalla Knights studio K2, Samurai Shodown Sen is a 3D fighting game with newly added finishing moves for North America and Europe.
“We are ecstatic to have our first offering on Xbox 360 be the latest iteration of such a highly-regarded franchise. The Samurai Shodown series was a pioneer in the weapons-based fighting genre when it first took arcades by storm over a decade ago, and will now be bringing that same kind of innovative spirit as the series is reborn in 3D with online play,” Jun Iwasaki, Xseed’s President, said about the arrangement.
Soichiro Hosoya, President of SNK, had equally amicable words about Xseed, “We are thrilled to partner with Xseed Games on Samurai Shodown as we have much respect and admiration for their approach to creatively marketing games in North America.”
